Acrylic One / A1 Acrylic Resin, Eco-friendly, two-component, water-based acrylic casting resin.
Discover the new way of pouring, you will fall in love!
Combine Crystal Clear epoxy resin and Acrylic One / A1 acrylic resin for unique works of art.
Acrylic One is a two-component casting compound that is very easy to work with and hardens very quickly. The final product is opaque and unpigmented creamy white. A1 can be poured, sprayed (with an appropriate machine), applied with a spatula, brush or roller or laminated. The casting resin has good mechanical properties.
Acrylic One / A1 is non-toxic, solvent-free and therefore environmentally friendly. The material does not shrink during the hardening process, heat generation is low (max. 40° C). A1 is flame retardant, has a high UV resistance and is protected against moisture after sealing, is easy to pigment, the hardened material can be painted or varnished. In addition, when hardened, it can be machined very well (drilling, milling, grinding, polishing). Molds made of Acrylic One / A1 should only be sawn or drilled after about a week, because only then is the curing (almost) complete. The material is indeed very hard even after one day, but still sensitive. If sawing or drilling is to be done at this stage, use extreme caution.
Acrylic One / A1 can be precisely adjusted to the desired look by adding a wide variety of fillers or materials such as pigments (for water-soluble substances), sand, stone or metal powder, e.g. marble, terrazzo, concrete or ceramics. By adding sand and quartz, for example, a granite look can be created, by adding metal powder that of metal castings, which are much more expensive and complex in the original. The material can be reinforced or laminated with triaxial fibers (glass fibres), lightweight fillers offer additional possible uses. Additives allow flexible adjustment of processing time and consistency to individual work requirements.

*Processing time and curing time depend on the amount of material!
Processing:
For optimal processing, Acrylic One / A1 must be carefully weighed and mixed:
To prepare the standard casting compound, weigh out 2 parts powder and 1 part acrylic resin. First fill the liquid resin into the mixing container. It is best to stir with a stainless steel stirrer, for example on a drill, then add the appropriate amount of powder. Continue stirring until an even, lump-free consistency is achieved. Then continue stirring for about 30 seconds. Then process the mass immediately.
In order to get an optimal mixing result, we recommend an A1 high-shear mixer, a stirring rod for a drill or cordless screwdriver, which ensures that as few air bubbles as possible get into the mass when mixing. In order to get a lump-free mass, we recommend sieving the powder before mixing, if necessary.
The standard processing time of the acrylic resin mass is approx. 20 minutes. Additives can be added to achieve a different viscosity, a longer or shorter curing time.
The exact curing time depends on various factors such as the size of the object to be cast, the thickness of the laminate to be produced, the room temperature and the humidity. Acrylic Pne / A1 is a water-based mass, ie the residual moisture must be completely removed in order to achieve the end result.
When using molds, please check in advance whether the mold is made of a self-releasing material. If this is not the case, use a release agent.
Storage:
Protect components from frost. Keep tightly closed and dry. Shelf life: 1 year.

Reviews
I use this material to create pots for my candles. Super easy to work with! Endless color combinations with the liquid pigment, 20 minute setting in a silicone mold. I use the "Satin" seal. Couldn't be happier!
Einfach zu bearbeiten und in 30min ausformbar. Lässt sich gut mit den Pigmenten aus dem Shop einfärben.Bin begeistert
Tolles mattes Ergebnis, richtig einfach zu verarbeiten
