Crystal Clear Artwork & Topcoat Epoxy Resin, an epoxy laminating resin with heat resistance up to 140°C, high viscosity and maximum UV protection as well as excellent self-venting for a bubble-free finish.

A fast-curing, crystal-clear resin with unique clarity and transparency.

After curing, you get a very hard end result with the final hardness of Shore D90.

The fluidity like pouring syrup makes this epoxy resin ideal for laminating inclined surfaces.

Areas of application:

This epoxy resin is used, among other things, for finishing surfaces with high heat resistance such as kitchen worktops and coasters - easy application due to its viscosity -, producing decorative castings and sealing epoxy resin artworks.

Can also be used for casting small jewelry and LED and moisture resistant electronics as well as a laminating material in combination with carbon fabric for paddles, sports equipment, poles, etc.

You can use this epoxy resin from 0.05 to max 1.0 cm thickness.

You can apply the resin with a brush or roller.

To achieve this high temperature resistance, the epoxy resin must be baked for 1.5 hours at 60°C. Otherwise, the temperature resistance is approx. 90°C.
Please note that we are talking about temperature resistance here.
This means that the epoxy will not scorch or crack at this temperature. However, the epoxy may temporarily soften and nick due to the weight! This makes all types of epoxy less suitable for use as coasters.
With a larger quantity, the processing time and the curing time are shorter!
If you have little experience, we recommend not processing the maximum amount at once.
If you still want to do this, work at 18°C with a large diameter mixing bucket and take into account a very short processing time!
For 10 kg please pour a layer thickness of maximum 0.5 cm.
Make sure the surface is dense and non-porous. This can cause air bubbles in the epoxy. To do this, use a thin layer of epoxy or primer. Always use protective gloves and goggles when handling this material. Process the resin at room temperature (18 - 25 ° C) and humidity less than 70%. To avoid deformation of the surface, the temperature must remain constant throughout the curing process. Also avoid direct sunlight through a window and avoid drafts.
Mix the A and B components in the correct ratio (A : B = 100 : 50 by weight) and mix well. Allow enough time for mixing (2 - 3 minutes) and make sure to include the corners and bottom of the mixing bowl. Optionally, you can pour the whole thing into a second bowl and mix again.
Now add all the colour effects and stir again. Allow air bubbles to escape for a minute. If necessary, help by vibrating/rattling the cup. Make sure the product does not get too hot!
The epoxy resin is now ready for use. Apply the mixture with a brush/roller or pour the mixture with a thin stream into the desired mold or prepared model.
Make sure to use a large-bottomed mixing bowl for larger quantities. Avoid a thick layer in the mixing bowl as this will heat up very quickly!
Removing air bubbles is best done with an epoxy deaerator or with a flame. Please do not use flames if you have diluted the epoxy with alcohol or other flammable products.

When pouring a second layer of liquid into a first layer of epoxy liquid, you need to make sure the exothermic reaction has completely worn off. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases energy. In this case, heat. If you want to be sure, wait until the second layer is no longer sticky, but you still see a fingerprint in the epoxy.

Bei der Kristallisation von Epoxidharz handelt es sich um einen physikalischen Vorgang, der durch externe Faktoren wie Kälte oder Temperaturschwankungen hervorgerufen wird. Es ist völlig umkehrbar und ähnelt dem Einfrieren von Wasser. Die wesentlichen Ursachen sind:

1. Zu niedrige Temperaturen: Bei Lagerung oder Transport können Kristalle bei Temperaturen unter 15 °C entstehen.

2. Temperaturschwankungen: Die Entstehung von Kristallen wird durch regelmäßige Wechsel zwischen warm und kalt vorangetrieben.
Hohe Harzreinheit: Epoxidharz mit hoher Reinheit neigt eher zur Kristallisation.
3. Niedrige Viskosität: Harze mit dünnflüssiger Flüssigkeit bilden tendenziell eher Kristalle.

Diese Reaktion tritt bei extrem tiefen Temperaturen auf und kann durch ein Wasserbad (etwa 60 Minuten/50 °C) umgekehrt werden.

Hier einfach den verschlossenen Harzbehälter ins Wasserbad legen. Danach werden sie das Harz auf die normale Raumtemperatur zurück kühlen lassen.
