Crystal Clear Casting epoxy resin
Crystal Clear Casting epoxy resin is a low-viscosity (very liquid) epoxy resin with maximum UV protection and excellent self-ventilation for a bubble-free finish.
The resin has a unique clarity and transparency and hardly any streaking.
With Shore D90 final hardness, you will get a very tough end result.
It is one of the highest quality products on the market.
This crystal-clear, high-gloss epoxy casting resin makes it suitable for detailed casting of small objects, for example, and is suitable for cast parts from 0.1 cm to 2.0 cm thick.
Application areas:
- Manufacture of jewelry from silicone molds with a casting height of 0.1 cm to 2.0 cm
- This epoxy resin is very suitable for pouring floors with different effects, pouring over works of art and photos, etc.
- For casting or lamination
This epoxy resin contains a UV blocker, which makes it less likely to yellow.
You can find a less liquid, viscous epoxy resin here:

* With a larger amount, the processing time and the hardening time are shorter!
** If you have little experience, we recommend that you do not use the maximum amount at once. If you still want to do this, work at 18 ° C with a mixing bucket with a large diameter and allow for a very short processing time! For 10 kg, please pour a layer that is no more than 5.0 cm thick.
Processing:
Make sure the surface is dense and non-porous. This can cause air bubbles in the epoxy. Use a thin layer of epoxy or primer to do this.
Always use protective gloves and goggles when handling this material. Process the resin at room temperature (18 - 25 ° C) and a humidity of less than 70%. In order to avoid any deformation of the surface, the temperature must remain constant during the entire curing process. Also, avoid direct sunlight through a window and avoid drafts.
Mix the A and B components in the correct ratio (A: B = 100: 33 by weight) and mix well. Allow enough time to mix (2-3 minutes), making sure to include the corners and bottom of the mixing bowl. Optionally, you can pour the whole thing into a second bowl and mix again. Now add all the color effects and stir again. Let the air bubbles escape for a minute. If necessary, help by vibrating / rattling the mug. Make sure that the product does not get too hot!
The epoxy is now ready to use. Apply the mixture with a brush / roller or pour the mixture with a thin stream into the desired shape or the prepared model.
Make sure that you use a mixing bowl with a large base for larger quantities. Avoid a thick layer in the mixing bowl as it heats up very quickly!
Removing air bubbles works best with an epoxy vent or a flame. Please do not use flames if you have diluted the epoxy resin with alcohol or other flammable products.
If you want to apply the resin in several layers (multi-layer work):
Wet on wet:
Whenever you pour a second layer of a liquid into a first layer of an epoxy liquid, you need to make sure that the exothermic reaction has completely worn off. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases energy. In this case, heat.
If you want to be sure of this, wait until the second layer is no longer tacky, but you will still see a fingerprint in the epoxy.Wet on dry:
The previous layer must be sanded and made free of dust and grease.
