Crystal Clear Deep Pour Epoxy Resin
Crystal Clear Deep Pour Resin, This clear epoxy casting resin is especially suitable for casting large objects and river tables up to 10 cm.
This is an unprecedented product that has received particular praise from professional users for its long curing time and ease of use.
The epoxy resin is low-viscosity, has maximum UV protection and excellent self-ventilation for a bubble-free finish.
With Crystal Clear Deep Pour Resin you can make your own unique riviera table yourself.
This resin is not suitable for small / thin castings as it takes too long to cure.
For thinner castings use:
Crystal Clear Casting Resin - 0.1 to 2 cm casting height
Or:
Crystal Clear Deep Casting Resin - up to 5 cm casting height
For an epoxy resin with higher viscosity use:
Crystal Clear Artwork & Topcoat Resin
Accessories for 7.5Kg and 15Kg containers:
Pourer pouring aid DIN51 with bellows closure
Application areas:
- Production of large river tables, large silicone molds with a potting height up to 100 mm (higher casting quantity possible depending on room temperature and material quantity <20 ° C).
- Manufacture of molds where excellent transparency is expected / necessary.
- Mixing ratio by weight: A: B = 100: 33
- Color: Ultra clear (diamond clear) in both components
- Processing time 100 g at 25 ° C: 40 minutes *
- Curing time at 25 ° C: 18-24 hours *
- Completely hardened after: 3 days
- UV blocker: yes
- Hardness: Shore D 75
- Density: 1.09 g / cm³
- Viscosity: 700-1400 cps
- Low viscosity
- Solvent free
- Self-leveling
- Excellent self-venting for a bubble-free finish
- Temperature resistant up to: 100 ° C
- Minimum layer thickness: 3 cm
- Maximum layer thickness 10 cm
- The maximum grouting height of 10 cm is strongly dependent on the ambient temperature. If the temperature exceeds 22 ° C, the maximum grouting height is drastically reduced.
- Can be prepared at once: 200 kg **
Important note: The higher the room temperature (> 20 ° C) and the larger the mixed amount, the lower the possible casting height with constant transparency.
* With a larger amount, the processing time and the hardening time are shorter!
** If you have little experience, we recommend that you do not use the maximum amount at once. If you still want to do this, work at 18 ° C with a large-diameter mixing bucket and allow for a very short processing time! For 200 kg, please pour a layer that is no more than 5 cm thick.
Processing:
Make sure the surface is dense and non-porous. This can cause air bubbles in the epoxy. Use a thin layer of epoxy or primer to do this.
Always use protective gloves and goggles when handling this material. Process the resin at room temperature (18-25 ° C) and a humidity of less than 70%. In order to avoid any deformation of the surface, the temperature must remain constant during the entire curing process. Also, avoid direct sunlight through a window and avoid drafts.
Mix the A and B components in the correct ratio (A: B = 100: 50 by weight) and mix well. Allow enough time to mix (2-3 minutes), making sure to include the corners and bottom of the mixing bowl. Optionally, you can pour the whole thing into a second bowl and mix again. Now add all the color effects and stir again. Let the air bubbles escape for a minute. If necessary, help by vibrating / rattling the mug. Make sure the product doesn't get too hot!
The epoxy is now ready to use. Pour the mixture into your mold or prepared model with a thin stream.
Note that you use a large-bottomed mixing bowl for larger quantities. Avoid a thick layer in the mixing bowl as it heats up very quickly!
Removing air bubbles works best with an epoxy vent or a flame. Please do not use flames if you have diluted the epoxy resin with alcohol or other flammable products.
If you want to apply the resin in several layers (multi-layer work):
Wet on wet:
Whenever you pour a second layer of a liquid into a first layer of an epoxy liquid, you need to make sure that the exothermic reaction has worn off completely. An exothermic reaction is a reaction that releases energy. In this case, heat.
If you want to be sure of this, wait until the second layer is no longer tacky, but you will still see a fingerprint in the epoxy.Wet on dry:
The previous layer must be sanded and made free of dust and grease.
